“Thus also faith by itself, if it doe not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works’ Show me your faith without your works, and Iwill show you my faith by my works” James 2: 17-18:1
Here James is emphasizing that our faith finds expression in works of mercy towards others in obedience to God. He is saying that faith that cannot be seen is no faith at all. Faith is always acted out. To act out faith is simply doing what Gods will to be done. Intentions and good ideas must become reality. Faith together with obedient action is evidence of the transforming work of the cross.
